Two Years

It's been two years,
I almost forgot.
Me, who swore I would never forget.
I haven't forgotten you, of course
I think of you all the time.
The day just slipped my mind.
But how could it?
I will never forget that dreadful day.

I wish you were here to see me today
On any day.
I'd give anything to spend another day with you.
Just one more so that I could tell you
All the things that i've been up to,
Everything that i've accomplished so far,
And everything that I've yet to do.
I hope that you can see me,
I hope that you are proud.

I sit here in my room
And I remember you.
